Presidential Declaration of the Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Countries against Inflation

Presidential declaration adopted on April 5, 2023 by Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Mexico, Venezuela, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to coordinate actions addressing inflationary pressures and high prices of basic food basket products and inputs. It establishes commitments to facilitate regional trade, improve logistical and financial conditions, create a technical working group, harmonize sanitary and phytosanitary regulations and certifications, facilitate access to credit, and promote financing for agricultural, agro-industrial, and transport infrastructure projects, with emphasis on food security and poor and vulnerable populations.
