Emergency Agricultural Mitigation Subsidy for Producers Affected by Severe Drought – Emergency Decree No. 025-2022

Emergency Decree No. 025-2022 authorized an extraordinary and temporary cash subsidy to mitigate the effects of severe drought on agricultural producers whose crops or livestock were affected by more than 50 percent across 408 districts in 17 departments of Peru. The measure targeted small agricultural producers operating farms of up to four hectares and livestock producers raising up to twelve alpacas, seeking to facilitate their return to productive activity, reduce economic losses caused by drought and support the continuity of agricultural production. Up to PEN 341.5 million was authorized for implementation through the AGROPERÚ Fund.
