Law for Strengthening and Developing the Production, Marketing, Extraction, Export and Industrialization of Oil Palm and Its Derivatives

The Law for Strengthening and Developing the Production, Marketing, Extraction, Export and Industrialization of Oil Palm and Its Derivatives establishes Ecuador's legal framework for promoting and regulating the oil palm value chain. The law provides measures to improve productivity, update agroecological zoning, strengthen phytosanitary control, promote research and quality planting material, facilitate access to irrigation and financing, organize marketing and sectoral participation mechanisms, promote exports and foster biodiesel production and use, under principles of sustainability, economic inclusion and food security.
