The general objective of the mission is to promote the socioeconomic development of the country, from and for the regions, through the efficient and sustainable management of biomass, biodiversity and their ecosystem services for the generation of high value-added products and processes through science, technology and innovation. To this end, it proposes two cross-cutting axes: i) Integrate institutional capacities for the governance of the BE at the national and territorial levels, for the measurement and monitoring, as well as the communication of the benefits, progress and impacts of the Bioeconomy. ii) Develop incentive, financing and investment mechanisms to stimulate the development of the bioeconomy.
