Law 2206 of 2022 – Incentives for the Productive Use of Guadua and Bamboo and Their Environmental Sustainability

Law 2206 of 2022 establishes a policy framework to encourage the productive use of guadua and bamboo in sectors such as industry, construction and agroindustry, while promoting sustainable management, ecosystem services and climate change mitigation. The law regulates the registration and management of guadua and bamboo stands, establishes information and zoning mechanisms, provides environmental and productive incentives, promotes access to credit and insurance, strengthens the value chain, supports research, innovation and training, and encourages industrial processing and the use of these materials in construction.
