Law No. 31517 Declaring the Cultivation of Jute (Urena lobata) to be of National Interest and Public Necessity to Promote the Local, Regional and National Economy

Law No. 31517 declares the cultivation of jute (Urena lobata) to be of national interest and public necessity, promoting its planting, sustainable use, commercialization and industrialization in order to support the local, regional and national economy. It provides that the Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation and in coordination with regional and local governments, take the necessary actions within their respective powers to promote these activities.
