Peru: National Family Farming Strategy 2015–2021 (ENAF)

National strategy aimed at organizing and coordinating comprehensive public intervention in support of family farmers in Peru during the 2015–2021 period. ENAF recognizes family farming as a central pillar of rural development and seeks to promote its social and economic inclusion through equitable access to productive assets, public goods and services; stronger knowledge and capacities; sustainable natural-resource management; producer organization; market integration; and stronger institutional arrangements for family farming. The strategy incorporates sustainability, intercultural, gender-equality, territorial-development and food-security approaches and establishes specific objectives, expected results, nine policy guidelines and corresponding strategic actions. It subsequently served as a reference framework for Law No. 30355, its implementing regulation and the National Family Farming Plan 2019–2021.
