Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2015
Fecha de fin: 01/01/2021

Description

Family Farming is a key pillar for promoting development and social inclusion in Peru. Recognizing its importance, the State has made an explicit political commitment to promote its strengthening through coordinated interventions between different sectors, levels of government and institutions. These actions are aimed at generating concrete results for the benefit of farming families in the Coast, Highlands and Jungle of the country. In this context, and after identifying the characteristics, weaknesses and opportunities of Family Farming, as well as the need for effective public policies, it was considered essential to develop a strategy that would make it possible to adequately guide government programs and projects. As a result, the National Strategy for Family Farming 2015-2021 (ENAF) was approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-2015-MINAGRI, with the aim of promoting its comprehensive development.
