Peru: Supreme Decree No. 007-2022-MIDAGRI grants loans to farmers and livestock farmers with overdue debts

Supreme Decree No. 007-2022-MIDAGRI establishes provisions to facilitate the financial reintegration of small agricultural and forestry producers who have overdue debts or are in the process of regularization with financial institutions and savings and credit cooperatives. This measure allows them to regain access to the Agroperú Fund and, therefore, be considered creditworthy by Agrobanco; its purpose is to restore these producers' access to the financial system, strengthen their productive activities and contribute to the economic reactivation of their territories.
