Mexico temporarily eliminates tariffs on imports of staple foods and key inputs/n

Description

Mexico adopted a decree temporarily eliminating import tariffs on more than 20 basic food products and key inputs, including paddy rice, white corn grain and flour, wheat grain and flour, bread, dry beans, milk, eggs, meat (pork, poultry and beef), vegetables (onions, potatoes, tomatoes and carrots) and fruits (oranges, lemons and apples). The measure is aimed at containing rising food inflation.
