The new scenarios of science and technology represent a strategic opportunity to advance towards a more productive and sustainable agriculture, thanks to the fact that they enable higher levels of precision and efficiency. The circular economy and bioeconomy, which involve a focus on the efficient use of resources (including sustainable intensification of production) and the reduction and reuse of waste from agricultural production for the production of other goods, and investment in Research and development (R&D) are key elements in this new scenario.
