Panama's Ministry of Environment announced the launch of the National Climate Change Policy 2050, a momentous milestone in efforts to address the global challenge of climate change. The National Climate Change Policy 2050 establishes a bold and proactive vision to guide actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to climate change and promote resilience in all sectors of Panamanian society. Aware of the urgency to act and committed to the Paris Agreement, Panama has developed this comprehensive policy, which establishes ambitious goals and concrete measures to mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure sustainable development in the long term.
