Description

Food insecurity in CAPRD, Mexico and Haiti has worsened in recent years. The loss of household income due to the destruction of jobs during the pandemic reduced purchasing power and access to food, while the paralysis of activities during the confinements affected food availability. As a result, the prevalence of moderate or severe food insecurity increased to 42.1% in CAPRD in 2020, affecting 19 million people.
