Methodological Guide for the Design of Bioeconomy Strategies

This guide is the result of the translation and adaptation of the Bioeconomy Strategy Accelerator Toolkit (BSAT), a tool developed from the experience and lessons learned from the European Commission's POWER4BIO program, which aimed to empower policy makers and stakeholders in 10 regions of Europe to structure their bioeconomy and support the emergence of a thriving bio-based sector. To achieve this, POWER4BIO supported the design of bioeconomy strategies in 10 regions, developed a catalog of potential business models, promoted the exchange of knowledge and best practices, and the creation of networks, within and across regions. This program ran from October 2018 to March 2021, with a budget of €3 million (see details in the fact sheet).
