COVID-19 and global food security

The book provides information on how the pandemic has affected global food and nutrition security, as well as food trade and supply chains, employment, and policy intervention. Case studies, expert opinions, global and local simulation models, and surveys are presented to give a comprehensive picture of the impact of COVID-19 and policy responses to the pandemic on global food and nutrition security. IFPRI has also created tracking tools, such as daily food price monitoring systems in local markets in some African and Asian countries, to measure divergence in public policy responses.
