Description

This Central American technical regulation establishes the specifications that powdered milk and powdered cream (nata) intended for direct human consumption or further processing in the territory of the State Parties must comply with. It defines classifications according to fat content, composition, permitted raw materials and ingredients, authorized food additives and contaminant requirements. It includes provisions on hygiene, labeling, packaging, packing, storage and distribution of these dairy products. It establishes sampling and analysis methods for compliance verification. Its implementation seeks to harmonize quality and food safety standards in the Central American region for dehydrated dairy products.
