Description

Through an interagency initiative, with the leadership of the United Nations Organization for Women (UN-Women), the participation of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the United Nations Food Organization and Agriculture (FAO), and the technical coordination of RIMISP (Latin American Center for Rural Development), an articulated set of studies was promoted on the territorial approach for the empowerment of rural women in Latin America. The stated objectives were: 1. Generate knowledge on the subject, both at a theoretical-methodological level and through the survey of learning from public/private experiences of the national and territorial order. 2. Contribute to the formulation and monitoring of proposals for more effective and integrated public policies for territorial development with a gender approach.
