Description
As a result of the efforts to promote the National Planning System through the alignment of international cooperation to the framework of the National Development Priorities (NDP), the Secretariat of Planning and Programming of the Presidency (SEGEPLAN) presented today the Development Cooperation Strategy 2022-2025 and the renewed web portal of the Guatemalan Cooperation System (SICOOPERAgt). The strategy was built taking into account current plans and policies and will be defined in the four components of sustainable development: social, economic, environmental and political-institutional, as well as public investment initiatives for development in response to national priorities, with emphasis on geographic areas prioritized by poverty. With regard to the social development dimension, interventions are oriented to health, education and food security. In these areas, programs in preventive health, libraries with technology, good agricultural practices, water treatment plants, among others, were identified. The prioritized geographic area is located in 172 municipalities in 13 departments.
