The impact of the war between these two countries accelerates the need for a profound transformation of long-distance supply chains, given that access to food is at stake. Today, of the world's 195 countries, at least 34 are unable to produce their own food due to water or land limitations. The United Nations World Food Programme predicts that 2022 will be "a year of catastrophic hunger."
