Description
The study collected 79 soil samples from four regions of Zhangzhou City, the main banana production area in Fujian. Twelve strains of Foc were isolated and identified based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence analysis, PCR amplification using Foc-specific primers and pathogenicity assays.11 isolates belong to race 1 of Foc, and 1 isolate belongs to race 4 of the tropical species of Foc (TR4) first report for the province.
