Geographical Distribution and Genetic Diversity of the Banana (2021)

Wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f sp. cubense (Foc R4T) poses a threat to world banana production because of its high virulence on a wide host range, surveys in Laos and Vietnam show its restriction in the northern regions of the countries bordering the Cavendish producers, the diversity of VCG from northern to southern countries and the efforts made are mentioned, stressing the importance of VCG.
