Description
The study established a collection of monoconidial isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc) from different regions of Cuba, the results showed that the Cuban Foc populations belonged to certain GCV in different percentages, as for the artificial inoculations, the clones of Gros Michel, Manzano and FHIA 18 showed internal and external wilt symptoms against the isolate of Race 1. Some clones showed susceptibility to Race 2 (Bluggoe, Pisang awak, FHIA 03, Burro CEMSA (ABB) and FHIA 23). FHIA 02 and 04 clones were found to be highly resistant to the other populations. Trichoderma treatments at planting showed better performance compared to untreated plots.
