Rainforest Alliance Policy on Fusarium Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4) Biosecurity Practices (2020)

The Rainforest Alliance shares the global concern raised by the spread of the disease caused by the fungus Foc R4T f.sp. cubense, and therefore developed a comprehensive response plan based on four main pillars: adhering to follow regional plans and OIRSA protocols, complying with Rainforest certification operations for prevention and control, promoting biosecurity and integrated pest management and productivity, and joining forces with the public-private sectors.
