Germplasm screening of Musa spp. for resistance to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropical race 4 (Foc TR5

Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropicalrace 4 (Foc TR4) has seriously threatened global banana production. Recently, the identification of Foc TR4 in the Caribbean and Mozambique has raised serious concern because it may be directly related to the food security of millions of people in Africa and Latin America. To identify resistant or highly resistant germplasm, 129 accessions were evaluated for Foc TR4 resistance in greenhouses and 100 of them were also evaluated in the field.
