Description
Review of the nature of pathogen-host interactions that can help to select and improve cultivars. Current research on ROS for signalling in the defence response of banana against F. oxysporum R4T sp.cubense is highlighted, in addition to the role of Jasmonic acid in signalling as well as salicylic acid which shows more complexity in its understanding, the challenge for banana is to identify specific receptors for effector proteins (SIX) and variation in signal transduction.
