Description

Systematic review of studies carried out in the last 10 years on the resistance of Musa spp. to Fusarium wilt, it was observed that the information on genome sequencing of Musa sp. is undoubtedly a source to obtain resistant cultivars mainly by evaluating the banana transcriptome data after infection with FOC, it was also evidenced that there are sources of resistance to race 1 (R1) and race Foc R4T in banana germplasms although published data are still scarce; the transgenic approach has been used more frequently. Harmonisation of methods and protocols between research centres is proposed as a mechanism for global cooperation against the disease.
