Description

Review of current knowledge on the epidemiology of Fusarium wilt (FW) of banana, knowledge of pathogen survival and spread; factors driving disease intensity, the soil microbiome, plant microbiome and disease dynamics. Comparisons were also made with FW in other crops to indicate possible differences and commonalities, reviewing the role of the main biotic and abiotic factors in disease intensity highlighting research needs and future direction, finally discussing practices and their impact taking into account the different stakeholders from growers to researchers and organisations.
