The safety of the food chain, from farm to fork, is at the heart of EFSA's mission which seeks to contribute to the protection of human life and health, taking into account the health and well-being of animals, plant health and the environment. It provides independent and transparent scientific advice to policy makers, through the cooperation of its partners, and in an open dialogue with society.
