Peruvian Government allocates more than S/ 4,200 million for disaster risk reduction and preparedness

The Government reports a disaster risk reduction strategy for the 2026-2027 El Niño phenomenon, with more than S/ 4,200 million allocated. Of this total, S/ 3,065 million corresponds to Budget Program 0068 (reduction of vulnerability and response to disaster emergencies) for the current fiscal year, and more than US$ 2,000 million in contingency funds are available, within a fiscal deficit target of 1.8% of GDP.
