Description

More than 5,000 chickens died in an avian flu outbreak detected at a farm in Paramaribo, Suriname, prompting the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (LVV) to activate biosecurity controls, a 3 km assessment radius, and coordination with local and international partners to contain the virus.
