Description

CEIAR presented a strategy to accelerate irrigation development in Uruguay through a multi-farm program, water reserves, tax incentives, adapted electricity tariffs, a one-stop service and a new regulatory framework. The policy seeks to increase productivity and reduce vulnerability to water deficits while minimizing environmental impacts.
