Uruguay will assess the sanitary and commercial impact of possible foot-and-mouth disease scenarios

Uruguay will conduct a tabletop simulation to assess its response to a threat or possible introduction of foot-and-mouth disease, identify gaps, adjust procedures and analyze impacts on sanitary status and markets. The country will also formalize its permanent membership in BANVACO, which provides access to emergency vaccines against different virus serotypes.
