Description

The United States will apply a 12.5% tariff to part of Nicaragua's exports, requiring the export sector to review its strategy for accessing its main market. Although agricultural products such as coffee, beef, and peanuts would retain preferential treatment, the measure increases uncertainty about the country's competitiveness.
