Description

The United Nations warns that El Niño could worsen food insecurity in Central America, particularly in the Dry Corridor of Guatemala and El Salvador. Prolonged droughts, extreme rainfall, and losses of staple crops threaten rural economies, food supplies, and progress in reducing malnutrition.
