Description

This document presents the results of the AgroJoven initiative, developed by IICA to strengthen the technical skills in international trade and exportation of rural youth involved in the agri-food sector in Honduras, Colombia, and Mexico. The report describes the participatory methodology applied, characterizes the young entrepreneurs, and outlines the main findings from the workshops, highlighting the need for associativity, technical training, access to strategic networks, and financing. It analyzes trends prioritized by the youth, including sustainability, fair trade, and the digitalization of commercial processes. Finally, the document offers methodological and institutional recommendations to scale the model, improve commercial integration, and promote youth leadership in global agri-food markets.
