Joint forward-looking report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations assessing the expected evolution of agricultural commodity and aquatic food markets during 2026-2035 at national, regional and global levels. It uses the OECD-FAO Aglink-Cosimo model and provides projections for production, productivity, consumption, trade, prices and agricultural incomes, as well as scenarios related to energy and fertiliser costs, food security and emissions. The report projects that the gross value of global agricultural production will increase by 13.3% to reach USD 4.01 trillion by 2035; average gross agricultural income per worker will rise by 9%; and direct greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production will increase by 6.5%. It includes chapters covering cereals, oilseeds, sugar, meat, dairy, fish and aquaculture, biofuels, cotton, roots and tubers, pulses, bananas and tropical fruits.
