UNESCO reports on the progress of the Women for Bees project in the Oxapampa–Asháninka–Yánesha Biosphere Reserve (Pasco, Peru), implemented since 2025 with support from Guerlain, promoting sustainable meliponiculture among Indigenous and rural women. Through Farmer Field Schools, technical assistance and peer-learning exchanges, more than 60 women have strengthened their skills in managing native stingless bees; the project also supported market studies, one full business plan and four initial business plans, as well as an interpretive trail in the El Abra sector of Oxapampa.
