Senamhi strengthens national agroclimatic monitoring in the face of scenarios associated with the El Niño Phenomenon

SENAMHI reports on the fourth consecutive session of the Agrometeorological Briefing, held weekly with SENASA under an interinstitutional cooperation agreement. The technical space enables the exchange of agrometeorological information on the monitoring of the El Niño Phenomenon and Coastal El Niño, and the identification of conditions favorable to pests and diseases in economically important crops (fruit fly, botrytis in strawberry and blueberry, coffee rust). The initiative aligns with the WMO Global Framework for Climate Services and aims to strengthen agroclimatic monitoring, risk management, and food security.
