Colombia: Fedepapa activates national plan to protect potato crops against El Niño

Fedepapa and the National Potato Promotion Fund (FNFP) launched the plan "Al mal tiempo, buena papa" ("Good potatoes in bad weather"), built around three axes to reduce the impact of El Niño on potato crops in the country's main production zones: prevention (climate monitoring and informational alerts), mitigation (good agricultural practices and efficient water use), and institutional adaptability (coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Finagro, and the Agricultural Financing and Risk Management Directorate to develop joint financing and risk management strategies).
