Description

Situation report issued during the fourth consecutive week of blockades in Bolivia, with over 50 obstruction points disrupting movement of food, fuel, medicines, and humanitarian cargo along corridors connecting Santa Cruz with La Paz, El Alto, and Cochabamba. The World Food Programme activated emergency response capacities to reinforce food supply chains, humanitarian logistics operations (air and land), and institutional feeding in hospitals, shelters, and care facilities. An estimated 2 million people face reduced access to food and essential goods, with a direct assistance target of 154,000 beneficiaries and approximately 2,500 mt of food commodities planned for mobilization.
