SENAMHI provides information on frost and El Niño Costero to the population of Ilabaya

SENAMHI participated in the "Civic Action All for Ilabaya" fair in the district of Ilabaya, Jorge Basadre province, Tacna region, with the aim of providing meteorological and climatological information to the population and strengthening a culture of prevention in the face of extreme events. Specialists from Zone 7 provided information on the Coastal El Niño phenomenon, frosts and their consequences, as well as preventive measures against low temperatures in high Andean areas. The activity also included the dissemination of Meteorological Advisory No. 083, an orange alert for snowfall in the central and southern highlands of the country between May 20 and 22.
