Description

CARICOM Agriculture Ministers endorsed a regional response matrix to address the impact of the Middle East conflict on food security and economic stability. The matrix links external shocks to policy responses, identifying short- and long-term interventions across six critical areas: energy prices, fertilizers, maritime logistics, food price inflation, macroeconomic pressure, and food insecurity. The document promotes regional coordination among Member States to strengthen food production and reduce the region's vulnerability.
