The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture 2024: Blue Transformation in Action

FAO's biennial flagship report on the global state of fisheries and aquaculture. The 2024 edition documents the blue transformation in action through FAO-led initiatives with governments, partners and key stakeholders aimed at integrating aquatic foods into global food security and sustainability. It includes updated data on global aquatic production, seafood trade, illegal unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, technological innovations and sustainable practices, targeting policymakers, scientists, fishers, aquaculture producers and civil society.
