This research is framed within the implementation of the Andean Agricultural Agenda (AAA) projects, particularly its strategic line "Family Farming and Rural Women," aimed at strengthening family farming with an emphasis on the role of rural women. With the assistance of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the document "Public Policies and Private Strategies for Linking Family Farming to Competitive Markets in the Andean Region" is presented. This document offers a technical baseline and a systematized inventory of initiatives in the Member Countries of the Andean Community. It also includes a diagnosis and analysis of policies, programs, and experiences from the public and private sectors aimed at strengthening the economic inclusion of family farming and the empowerment of rural women within Andean agri-food systems.
