This article analyzes the challenges facing family farming in the Peruvian highlands in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, in a context marked by national political crisis and persistent water shortages. Using a qualitative approach based on life stories and interviews with Aymara families in the district of Laraqueri (Puno), the research examines how these interrelated factors have affected the income, production practices, and food security of rural communities.
