Climate change is also affecting coffee: the number of hot days impacting its crops is skyrocketing in Brazil, Colombia, and other producing countries

Climate change is significantly increasing the number of days of heat detrimental to coffee crops in the world's leading producing countries, such as Brazil, Colombia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Indonesia, which together account for approximately 75% of the global supply. These regions now face an average of more than 140 days a year with temperatures harmful to the plants, dozens of which are directly attributable to global warming. This threatens productivity, bean quality, and ultimately, prices and the income security of smallholder farmers.
