Towards a resilient, sustainable and regenerative agricultural sector

“Toward a Resilient, Sustainable, and Regenerative Agricultural Sector” is a CAF Impact report that presents the support of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – to strengthen a more productive, sustainable, and resilient agricultural sector in the region. Despite its enormous agricultural potential, Latin America and the Caribbean faces the challenge of increasing productivity without compromising its natural wealth. In response, CAF has promoted financing and technical assistance focused on technology and knowledge transfer, producer certification, the use of genetically improved seeds, irrigation expansion, improved marketing and logistics, and financing for sustainable practices. These interventions can increase yields and incomes for farming families, while also contributing to poverty reduction and protecting the region's natural resources.
