Description

Latin America and the Caribbean are emerging as key players in the development of green hydrogen thanks to their abundance of renewable resources and their current consumption concentrated in refineries and chemical industries in countries like Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil, and Mexico. With projected global demand reaching up to 430 million tons by 2050, the region must move forward in identifying strategic hubs, designing regulatory frameworks and certifications (such as CertHiLAC), strengthening infrastructure, and developing talent, in order to then consolidate its export capacity to markets like Europe and Asia.
