The report, published more than a decade after The State of Food and Agriculture 2010-2011, updates the analysis on gender equality in agri-food systems. It broadens the focus beyond agriculture to examine the situation of women in all sectors of the system, highlighting that gender equality and women's empowerment are key to achieving sustainable and resilient agri-food systems. Based on data from the last decade, the document identifies progress, highlights which strategies work, and offers concrete recommendations to reduce gender gaps and enhance inclusive development.
