The use of technological tools in regional agricultural planning: The case of the POAAR

Presentation given at the Conference on “Agricultural Planning Using Technology and Involving All Three Levels of Government” (2025). It addresses how the incorporation of technologies such as GIS, satellite monitoring, control panels, and digital platforms strengthen agricultural planning in Peru. It details the design and execution of the Regional Articulated Agricultural Operational Plans (POAAR 2026-2028), their expected impacts on the competitiveness and sustainability of production chains, as well as the implementation challenges and high-impact measures associated with the use of technological innovation.
