Description

The Ministry of Agricultural Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI), in coordination with Swiss Economic Cooperation (SECO), has launched an initiative aimed at strengthening the digital leadership of women cocoa producers in the Peruvian Amazon, San Martín. The program promotes the incorporation of technological tools in agricultural management, such as the geolocation of plots and access to digital agricultural services, with the aim of reducing digital inclusion gaps in rural areas. It also seeks to enable participants to take on a multiplier role in their communities, passing on the knowledge they have acquired and consolidating a development model that links technological innovation, women's empowerment, and the sustainability of Amazonian family farming.
